Tom Ryan is President and CEO of Streaming at Paramount Global where he oversees the company's worldwide streaming business including Paramount+, SHOWTIME OTT, Pluto TV and Noggin.

Under his leadership, the company has become a leader in both free and paid streaming. Paramount+ is the number one streaming service in the US for new sign ups and gross subscriber additions year-to-date, while Pluto TV is the market leader in Free Ad-supported Streaming Television (FAST) with over 72 million monthly active users.

Ryan pioneered and popularized the FAST category as CEO and co-founder of Pluto TV, which he scaled the service from a contrarian idea to over $1 billion in annual revenue in seven years. Pluto TV was acquired by Viacom in 2019.

Prior to his current role, Ryan was the CEO of Threadless, a popular ecommerce platform specializing in crowdsourced art. He also served on the board of men’s clothing service Trunk Club until its acquisition by JW Nordstrom in 2014 and Society6, through its acquisition by Leaf Group in 2013. Early in his career, Tom served as SVP of Digital Strategy at EMI Music as well as co-founder of Cductive, an early digital music retailer company that he merged with eMusic.

He holds an AB from Dartmouth College and an MBA from INSEAD in France and lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.
